SCO-ASSE: wins despite the devil Davitashvili

Despite the ranking of the two teams, and Saint-Etienne had a great time this Saturday, but it was the SCO which did well (4-2).

Two of the three clubs promoted this season in Ligue 1 met on the occasion of the ninth day of the Championship and for SCO and ASSE, the objective was the same, namely to take points to continue to advance towards maintenance . And the least we can say is that this meeting was lively and very spectacular, probably because Angers quickly opened the scoring through Abdelli (1-0, 7th). But Sainté, true to form, did not give up, and on a penalty, given to be withdrawn, Davitashvili equalized for the Greens (1-1, 16th). The SCO, however, would regain the advantage before the break thanks to Ahoulou (2-1, 39th).

But once again, this devil Davitashvili brought back Saint-Etienne (2-2, 57th), the former player scoring his fifth goal since joining the Greens. The match lost nothing in intensity and the Angevins would take control again, following a penalty converted by Niané (3-2, 68th). ASSE pressed more and more to try to snatch a valuable from this trip to the Raymond-Kopa stadium, but on a final counter, and a ball from a Stéphanois defender, Dieng deceived Larsonneur and killed the suspense (4- 2, 90th+4). With this victory, the SCO moves up to 14th place in the ranking, just ahead of its opponent of the day.
