For the trip to Red Star (2-2), the presence or not of Yann M'Vila in the group had been uncertain until the last moment. This Friday, October 25, Nicolas Seube was clear on this subject: the former French international will miss at least the three matches which arrive within a week (Troyes, Martigues and Bastia). Stade Malherbe Caen will have to cope without him to reverse the current trend.

An injury that could last

Hit in the adductor, Yann M'Vila was the first of the summer recruits of SM Caen. Arriving late, he still showed his importance in the team from his first starts. Given the nature of his injury, it is still early to establish a specific return date.

This is an unavailability that is likely to last. It's tendony and it's not that simple. What is certain is that he will not be there for the next three matches. I prefer not to comment more precisely at the moment.

After these three matches in one week, SM Caen will travel to Metz for one last match before a new international truce. Will we see Yann M'Vila again before then? It's still too early to tell.

In terms of returns, Nicolas Seube finds Didi Gaucho, suspended during the last match, and Mathias Autret, who apply for a place in the group after a full week of training. The former Auxerre player no longer took part in a SM Caen meeting since August 30, 2024 and the reception of Annecy (1-1). Saturday October 26, 2024 against Troyes, bottom of Ligue 2, Stade Malherbe Caen will want to capitalize on the point taken at Red Star and move forward on their lawn.
