Globoesporte claims that Vasco da Gama plans to part ways with Dimitri Payet before the end of his contract, which runs until June 30, 2025.
Dimitri Payet is doing better, but not yet well enough it seems, since his managers are already considering an early termination of contract, Globoesporte understands. The French international could leave Vasco da Gama just over a year after his arrival, while his lease ends on June 30, 2025.
The Carioca club would consider ending their collaboration in the coming weeks and thus getting rid of the club's highest salary in order to relieve the wage bill, suggests Globoesporte.

Although he saved his club from the decline last season, Dimitri Payet has not completely given satisfaction since, nor met the expectations of Vasco supporters, who still hope from the former OM player that he takes them to the heights.
Payet nevertheless retains their support, which he could have lost after a quarter of injuries (knee ligaments in April, thigh injuries in June and July) which gave rise to the first criticisms about him.
Condemned to shine
Dimitri Payet got back on his feet after going through a period of turbulence and found color on the pitch, he who had appeared sad and isolated in the weeks following his arrival, recalls Globoesporte.
The person himself recently admitted that the distance from his wife and four children weighs heavily on a daily basis. The distance and the difficulty of adapting to Brazil are all factors which may have favored the appearance of injuries.
Dimitri Payet managed to have a series of starts until September, until the return to form of Philippe Coutinho, on loan this summer. The rise of the Brazilian has coincided in recent days with a return to the bench for the Frenchman, who only played 25 minutes during his club's elimination in the Brazilian Cup.
According to Globoesporte, Coutinho would have taken over in their coach's mind. A trend which could be confirmed by the end of the Brazilian championship which will end in nine days.
While waiting for a discussion to take place between the club and Dimitri Payet, and it will take place, assures Globoesporte, Dimitri Payet seems condemned to shine, otherwise he could be permanently downgraded, or even pushed towards the exit, according to what is now said in Brazil.
