On Forever, the central defender and captain of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Cédric Yambéréresponded to the question of whether the team was looking at the standings.

“We look at the rankings all the time, it would be a lie to say no. Now, we know very well that we have two matches late, and matches also coming up. Next week there is the Coupe de France… We go match by match. As we said before, we have to work. There are a lot of things that can be improved, so these matches will help us, as the coach said, to be able to progress better in our work and be even more on point during our meetings.”

Afterwards, to say that I am not impacted would be to lie… I was there a little less than ten years ago, I started with people who were there, and to know that they are going to leave, it still hurts. We’re human, we can’t say to ourselves that it doesn’t matter to us, ‘I’ll do my thing and that’s it’. No… My heart goes out to them, I also share these things with them, because I know them, even those I don’t know. I am with them. These are pretty difficult things for them. We are here for a mission, to try to bring this club back up, hoping that they relive good years and good times in this stadium.
