35 million euros, Barça reaches 1:1 rule – FC Barcelona

The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, made a satisfactory announcement regarding the financial situation of the club.

FC Barcelona’s financial difficulties remain, although the club manages to improve its team by recruiting experienced players at the end of their contract or by highlighting new talents like Marc Bernal and Marc Casado, without forgetting Lamine Yamal, who is now the one of the team’s major assets. However, in order to regain a certain flexibility in its transfers, Barça must respond to the 1:1 rule, as recently emphasized by its president, and in this sense an announcement has been made.

Only 35 million euros are missing

The club’s general meeting is normally scheduled for tomorrow, where the president of Barça will be able to make an official update. However, he takes the opportunity to give more details about his management through other media. In a recent appearance on the Catalan club’s official channel, Joan Laporta addressed the subject of the deficit that must be resolved to reach the 1:1 rule. Remember that the club initially had to make up a deficit of 100 million euros. Last August, an agreement with Aramark made it possible to write off 40 million euros. Nevertheless, during his last media outing, Laporta made the following announcement: “About 60 million euros were missing, but we already had a few accredited and let’s say we are missing 35 million euros“. A reasonable amount that the club will be able to cover, which will delight fans who have been waiting a long time for the end of this financial ordeal, especially since the President had already announced that this would happen before the end of the year.
