Sergio Ramos, the door is closed

The start of Real Madrid’s season is far from simple, and it is in defense that the difficulties are greatest.

Carlo Ancelotti continues to be forced to rely on Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and the makeshift option of Aurelien Tchouameni in central defense, while David Alaba is still recovering from the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered suffered last December.

Recently, rumors have been circulating that Real Madrid will make the effort to sign a new central defender in January. RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba and Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato are on the shortlist, but one player who is not being considered is Sergio Ramos.

Ramos persona non grata

Ramos has been free since leaving Sevilla in July, but according to Marca, Real Madrid bosses never thought about bringing him back to the club for a second term, despite his impressive form with the Nervionenses last season.

It remains to be seen who Real Madrid will turn to in 2025, but one thing is certain: it won’t be Ramos.
