Holder of a Master’s degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents’ dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.

The Milan public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the close relations between certain Milan supporters, both AC Milan and Inter, with the mafia. To carry out its investigations, justice should question several actors such as Javier Zanetti, Hakan Calhanoglu, but also Milan Skriniar, former captain of Inter and now at PSG.

A Milansupporters rule the roost in stadiums. There are many deviations in the corridors of San Siro, shared by the Milan AC and the’Inter. The leaders of the ultras have control, which makes it possible to avoid excesses between the supporters of the two teams. But according to The Teamthere is also talk of reselling tickets on the black market, illegal management of parking lots, control of the sale of drinks, food and gadgets inside and outside the stadium, extortion, intimidation and violence to maintain the control over a turnover of several million euros. The floor of Milan was therefore interested in this occult market and discovered close links with the Ndrangheta.

Links between Inter and the mafia?

« The ‘Ndrangheta was established in Lombardy in 1954 and colonized it. This amounted to taking control of the richest region in Italy. There are dozens of clans established in Milan. The ‘Ndrangheta is the only mafia that transfers its entire structure far from its original territory, while the Sicilians of Cosa Nostra and the Neapolitans of the Camorra are content to invest and move a few men. The profits linked to illicit affairs in stadiums are minimal compared to international cocaine trafficking, but it allows you to say “here, I am in charge”. It’s like dogs urinating to mark their territory. The infiltration into the Milanese squads was predictable, like what has already happened at Juve. » confided Antonio Nicasoauthor of numerous works on this clan.

Skriniar will be heard

As part of its investigation, the prosecution should carry out interrogations, in particular with current or past members of the’Inter. One of the leaders of the Italian club Javier Zanetti will have to answer the investigators’ questions, just like Hakan Calhanoglubut also Milan Skriniar. Although today at PSG, the Slovak defender should be questioned by the police in the coming days.
