Balotelli’s vulgar words on a return to Serie A

Mario Balotelli, the former Italian international striker, could make his comeback in Serie A, with Genoa reportedly close to finalizing his transfer. Plagued by a series of injuries, the Genovese club are desperate for a new striker, and Balotelli, free of any contract after leaving Turkey, could well be the solution. According to Sport Mediaset, negotiations are progressing well, and an agreement seems imminent, although some reservations remain regarding the ex-star’s age of 34, as well as his motivations. On social media, Balotelli expressed confidence in his ability to return to his level in Serie A, saying he was ready to score like he did in his youth. During a recent stream, he reacted strongly to a question about his potential performance in Serie A, saying: “What are you talking about? It’s not because I wasn’t in Serie A (in recent years) that what I did doesn’t count? F**k you and Serie A.” His determination doesn’t stop there: he promised to “destroy this damn Serie A when I sign (for a new club)”, expressing thus his ardent desire to prove his worth on the Italian scene. This announcement could well mark a new chapter in the tumultuous career of Balotelli, who seeks to revive his trajectory and silence his detractors.
