Sofia Huerta warming up for OL

This Saturday, OL returns to the championship between two Champions League matches. Against , Joe Montemurro decided to return to a three-at-the-back formation. Laura Benkarth and Sofia Huerta will experience their first start of the season.

With the return of the Champions League, OL are returning to these famous three-match weeks. After Galatasaray and while waiting Wolfsburg Thursday, the Fenottes travel this Saturday (5 p.m.) to Dijon. Perhaps not the most important meeting, and yet, the Lyonnaises are aiming for four in a row in the Premier League. After three wins in three matches, OL women have already marked their territory in the championship, taking the lead. Facing the DFCOstill undefeated at the start of the season with two draws and a victory, Joe Montemurro wants to see his players show seriousness. As he told us, the Australian coach did not fail to make a few changes to give some breathing space and give playing time to others. This is particularly the case for Laura Benkarth a Sofia Huerta. The goalkeeper and defender will experience their first tenure in this 2024-2025 campaign.

With these two tenures, Montemurro added a system change as well. Returning to a 4-3-3 for two matches, OL are returning to a tactic with three defenders. However, it was noted that Damaris came to embed itself in central defense at the time of the restart. The Dutchwoman should therefore often be present alongside Wendie Renard. While Vanessa Gilles et Lindsey Horan are on the bench and Sofie Sleep and Melchie Dumornay remained in , Sara Däbritz and Vicki Becho join the eleven.
