Blues: Benjamin Pavard (ex-LOSC) affected by his sidelining

An indisputable holder once upon a time, Benjamin Pavard has not played a single minute since March. His future in Blues is not closed, but this prolonged sidelining hurts mentally.

From the height of his 54 selections, Benjamin Pavard probably thought he would have a bright future in the French team. However, everything has not gone as planned since his glorious debut and he now finds himself on the sidelines of the group selected by Didier Deschamps. The Inter Milan player, trained at LOSC, has not been called up since March, during which Germany defeated the Blues (0-2). Today, it is no longer a question of whether Deschamps wants to use him in the right lane or in the center, but whether he will be recalled in the months to come. Benjamin Pavard seems, to date, ahead of Wesley Fofana and Loïc Badé.

So far, Didier Deschamps has not definitively closed the doors to him, citing a desire to renew the squad and test other possibilities in this period with less crucial issues. However, even if he takes advantage of the international breaks to rest and escape the daily life of a footballer, he remains affected by this sidelining. The Teamwho takes stock of his situation, evokes with some fear an early international retirement following the departures of Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann, his close friends with the Blues. At 28 years old, the resident would nevertheless not like to give in to haste. There is still time, as long as the coach has not made a definitive decision. The idea, good or bad, has yet to germinate.
