OM-PSG: 16 years of this, that’s enough! – League 1

For the 16th consecutive year, our supporters will not be able to travel to for the Classic at the Stade Vélodrome, thenext Sunday, October 27. A situation that we deplore once again. Despite the historic rivalry between PSG and OM, it is inconceivable that the authorities are still unable to organize safe travel for supporters, whether to Marseille or . A “Classic” without supporters from both camps loses its intensity, its magic, and above all its very essence.

This lack of fervor in the stands distorts a confrontation which should be a vibrant spectacle. The systematic ban on travel is not a solution, but rather a headlong rush. It has now been 16 years since Parisian supporters have been able to accompany their team to the Vélodrome. Sixteen years old! It’s long.

As a reminder, the last time our supporters were able to go to Marseille was on October 24, 2009, a distant time when Gabriel Heinze, a former Parisian, inflicted a defeat on us with a headed goal. Since the arrival of QSI in 2011, our players have never been supported in Marseille hell, and this year again, they will have to manage without us.

The authorities must take their responsibilities and stop hiding behind prefectural decrees at each Classic. If we really want to relive intense evenings like in the old days, with burning stands and an atmosphere worthy of the name, it is essential to allow the supporters of both teams to travel. Without this, the Classics will continue to lose their flavor and authenticity. 16 years is enough!
