Mercato: More changes to the PSG recruitment unit?

After having strengthened the PSG recruitment unit last summer by recovering Juan Carlos Calero, whom he had known at Celta Vigo, Luis Campos would have his sights set on a very renowned Italian recruiter on the other side of the Alps.

Known and recognized for being a talent scout, Luis Campos has been surrounded for several years by numerous recruiters to find the talents of tomorrow. And at a time when PSG’s sports policy is more than ever geared towards youth, the club’s football advisor could soon strengthen PSG’s recruitment unit.

Last summer, the Portuguese brought in the Spaniard Juan Carlos Calero, with whom he had worked for several months at Celta Vigo. The latter was sports coordinator of the Galician club and according to RMC Sport, he came to PSG as a scout. Led by the Italian Pasquale Sensibile since December 2022 under the aegis of Luis Campos, the PSG recruitment unit also saw two scouts leave last summer according to the radio.

A renowned Italian scout soon at PSG?

But the PSG recruitment unit could soon be strengthened by an important arrival. According to the Italian site CalcioMercato.it, which knows the main interested party well having interviewed him several times, Michele Fratini is in the sights of the Parisian club. The latter, who was named best scout in Italy in 2022 and 2023, was announced last summer in the sights of Juventus and AS Roma.

According to CalcioMercato.it, he could finally join PSG shortly. To replace his compatriot Sensibile or to support him? The Italian media does not know, but mentions two possible positions for Fratini at PSG: head of the recruitment unit or supervisor of Italy for the Parisian club.
