4th most valuable squad in Ligue 1 for LOSC, Haraldsson his player has the highest value

The CIES Football Observatory has taken stock of the continent’s squad values. LOSC is doing well in Ligue 1, with the fourth most valuable group.

It’s a tradition that continues year after year. In its 475th weekly letter, the CIES Football Observatory presented the 100 clubs in the world whose contracted footballers have the highest aggregate transfer value (players on loan to other teams included). Unsurprisingly, it is Real Madrid which is clearly in the lead with the highest overall valuation ever recorded for a football club: 1.728 billion euros. Manchester City (€1.471 billion) and Chelsea (€1.388 billion), residents of the Premier League, follow. Its totals are much higher than that of LOSC, whose squad (37 players) is valued at 310 million euros, or 43rd in the world.

In , Les Dogues are the fourth club with the best valuation, ahead of only Saint-Germain (1.088 billion), AS Monaco (€425 million) and Stade Rennais (€321 million). This total, divided by the number of players (37), is equivalent to 8.4 million euros per individual at LOSC. Olympique de follows closely with 309 million euros, but a larger squad (39 players).

On an individual level, Hakon Haraldsson (21) is the player with the highest estimated value in the North. This is between 32 and 46 million euros for the Icelander. Warren Zaire-Emery (€89-113M) is the element with the highest estimated value in the championship.
