A former Barça star is asking for no less than 3 million euros from the club.
Sergio Agüero surprised many with his decision to leave Manchester City for Barcelona in the summer of 2021, and it appeared that his career would ultimately come to an end shortly after leaving for Catalonia. A heart problem, which was abandoned just months after arriving at Spotify Camp Nou, caused him to retire prematurely from football.
Agüero signed a two-year contract upon his arrival at Barcelona, and once his retirement was confirmed, he agreed to forgo the second year’s salary. However, he still wanted the money he was owed for his time as a Blaugrana player, and so far he has not received it.

As a result, Agüero is pursuing Barcelona. Diario AS reported that the former Argentina striker has taken legal action, as he seeks to claim around €3 million.
Barcelona had previously agreed to pay Agüero, but after the request was refused by an insurance company, they chose not to do so. The matter is expected to be resolved discreetly, with the 36-year-old preferring to accept an out-of-court settlement.
