Laporte’s big tackle on Deschamps

While he had completed all his youth classes with the French team and had even been called up once by Didier Deschamps, Aymeric Laporte finally decided to represent Spain at the highest level, tired of waiting a call from France. Guest of Rothen, the native of Agen reconsidered his choice and did not fail to scratch the coach of the Blues: “If I went to the French team and didn’t go there afterwards, it was more due to personal relationships that didn’t work out.” he explained first.

Laporte did not have “gentle” exchanges with Deschamps!

He then continued: “I couldn’t wait any longer than that. The years passed and, in the end, it was always the same coach. If I wanted to play international competitions, I had to make decisions. And I had to make this choice. Today I am very happy and I feel very good in this Spain team. It suits me, also in terms of personality” he said before putting another layer on Deschamps: “There were exchanges on several occasions which were not necessarily the smoothest. It’s over, I don’t even think about it anymore. Everyone goes their own way.”
