THE Girondins de Bordeaux discovered the Coupe de France from another angle when it entered the fray in the 4th round. The scapular club therefore finds itself playing well before what it was used to doing in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
The clubs of Ligue 2 will enter in the 7th round and those of Ligue 1 in 1/32nds. After the 3rd round played on the weekend of September 14 and 15, our players entered the running for the 4th round. It took place on the weekend of September 28 and 29. The draw gave the
FC Seudre Océan as an adversary. After a 5-0 victory on the Puymoyen field, the Bordeaux team are in the 5th round, which is still at regional level. It was during this round that the National clubs made their entries but Bordeaux was not concerned since none of them are in the region.
THE Girondins of Bordeaux, by being placed in the South group, could come across some good teams. In fact, the clubs of Anglet brooms (N2), you
Stade Bordelais, Bayonne et Lège Cap Ferret (N3) were also present. Among the other possible oppositions, very close clubs are still in the running like Mérignac-Arlac, Villenave, the Merignac SA (Regional 1), La Brède (Regional 2)…
The draw therefore gave the club CMO Bassensa Regional 2 club. The Girondins will therefore not have too far to go for this 5th round of the Coupe de France. It remains to be seen where and when the meeting will be played. Indeed, the Stade de Bassens may be a little too small while the Matmut will not be available.
