Champions League: how much does Stade Brestois pay to rent Roudourou in Guingamp?

On Wednesday October 2, the joint union for the development of the Roudourou stadium (SMASR) met with, on the agenda, the launch of the project to modernize the presidential stand. As a preamble, Philippe Le Goff, president of Smasr, returned to the victory the day before at Stade Brestois in Salzburg.

Most of the Guingampais members of the union followed the Finistériens match with interest, because they shared a little piece of their Champions League adventure by making the Roudourou stadium available. “Breton solidarity” plays a role, as was previously the case for US Concarneau’s Ligue 2 matches.

“Four times more expensive than for Concarneau”

But this solidarity comes at a cost: “The provision of the stadium in is billed at €20,000 per match. Some will say that it is little, but we can also note that it is four times more than the rental in Concarneau”, indicates Philippe Le Goff, who also specifies that “the arrangements made in the stadium were paid either by the Stadium Brestois, or via Stade Brestois and En Avant. The SMASR did not intervene. The only cost borne by the City of Guingamp is the cleaning the day after the match.”

At the end of their European adventure, the Brest leaders will therefore have to pay €80,000 for the four matches played at Roudourou. Even, a scenario now possible, of €100,000 thanks to the jump-off which would be played in February in a round-trip confrontation.
