Discussions had existed between the player and the club for several months and had intensified this summer when the 24-year-old player could arouse envy. “It’s definitely a complicated period, because as a player, we all want to feel secure. I don’t want to play with a sword of Damocles on my head thinking about possible injury or anything. In our heads, we know that when we are safe, we are more liberated and therefore able to perform better,” he said during the AJA training course in Chambon-sur-Lignon. The Malian attacker will now be able to play with a free mind and thus perhaps unlock his counter. Even if his impact is obviously not limited to his effectiveness against goal.
Two important extensions
But he is not the only one to extend his lease in Yonne. Also part of the workforce and in particular of the Ajaist defense, Gideon Mensah who also extends the adventure until 2026.
