OL: scores three times but loses two players – Olympique Lyonnais

Mixed start to the evening for Olympique Lyonnais. If the Gones had a good first period on the Glasgow Rangers pitch with a score of 3-1 at half-time with goals from Fofana and Lacazette, they lost two players to injury…

Indeed, Nemanja Matic first came off after half an hour of play. Hit in the hip during a collision, the Serbian midfielder gave way to Maxence Caqueret. Same dismay for Clinton Mata, given that just before the break, the Angolan defender suffered a muscle injury in his right leg. Replaced by Moussa Niakhaté in the 43rd minute of play, Mata will also fill the OL infirmary.

Which is not really good news for Les Gones, at a time of the season when the matches will come one after the other, with for example an L1 match against on Sunday at Groupama Stadium during which Pierre Sage will therefore have to make do with absentees…
