Bruno Genesio (LOSC): “It will be emotionally very hard for Ethan Mbappé”

Ethan Mbappé will miss the upcoming opposition between LOSC and Real Madrid. A major disappointment commented on this Tuesday at a press conference by Bruno Genesio.

The good debut of young Ethan Mbappé (17 years old) at LOSC is hampered by regular physical problems and this has been repeated in recent hours, with a rupture of the quadriceps which will cause him to miss the next two to three months of competition. “I was injured during the match (in )… and I will be away for several weeks. It’s a complicated moment for me because it’s the first time since I’ve been playing football”he confided, following the announcement of his package for the upcoming matches, including the reception of Real Madrid this Wednesday. The youngest of the Mbappé siblings was impatient to be able to reunite with his brother, a dream shattered by this unexpected injury.

During a press conference this Tuesday, Bruno Genesio commented on this disappointment, discussing the mental state of his player, who was affected: “There is obviously disappointmentconfides the technician. He is a very young player and this match was special for him. I don’t think there are many brothers who have ever faced each other in the Champions League. I haven’t looked, but it can’t have happened often. I haven’t seen him since his injury and I don’t want to talk to him right away. I know what state he might be in. I don’t think there’s any need to add more at this time. I will see him after the match, when everything is over, because it will be very difficult emotionally for him and for his family too. But he is a very young player who is progressing and who will, I am convinced, have other opportunities to relive this type of situation.”concluded Bruno Genesio, aware that the situation is not easy to manage for his young protégé.
