Civelli recounts his surprising reconversion!

During an interview given to RelevoRenato Civelli spoke about his reconversion. The former footballer became a baker in Argentina. He explains the difficulty of this project because of the crisis linked to the change of government in his native country.

Renato Civelliformer player of the Olympic between 2006 and 2009, retired from sports in July 2021. At the age of 40, he had to choose a field to maintain a professional activity. He chose the bakery, Gontran Cherrier supported him.

“I am closely linked to the French community”

Renato Civelli tells how he became a baker in Argentina, during an interview with Relevoa Spanish media outlet. “ We started by contacting a French bakery and pastry franchise, which was not Gontran Cherrierbut another », Reveals the former player of theMarseille Olympic. “ We were very close, but when a footballer contacts you for something outside of football, alarm bells go off […] Then Gontran Cherrier came. He came to do a sort of showcase, so to speak, in Buenos Aires to look for investors. I am closely linked to the French community because my daughters go to French high school and I have French friends. Gontran came and that’s where the story began. »

“It’s very complicated…”

The former central defender continues by explaining how his retraining project is going. “We opened the first premises with the production center in 2018 and 2019”noted Renato Civelli. “Today, we have six stores plus a production center with 150 employees. We are riding the Argentine crisis which has worsened this last year with the change of government, which is trying to stabilize the whole disaster which has lasted for several years, but it is very hard and very complicated… It is a permanent struggle against relegation, but I have never been relegated and I will continue to persevere”he concludes.
