The coach of the Blues cuts that of Thailand

Zapping Our World EXCLUSIVE: Moussa Diaby’s “Little Brother” interview!

The French futsal team has been embroiled in a surprising controversy in recent days after a group match against Iran where Les Bleus are accused of knowingly letting the game slip away (1-4 defeat), in order to offer themselves a more favourable part of the table afterwards. Until now rather silent on the subject, Les Bleus responded through Raphaël Reynaud, who was rather offensive in a press conference. With one target in particular, the coach of Thailand Miguel Rodrigo, the next opponent, who had accused Les Bleus of “dishonouring futsal and being a global disgrace”.

Reynaud accuses the Thai coach

Raphaël Reynaud responded scathingly. “We are focused on preparing for our round of 16. This is a historic match that is being offered to us. What is the share of misinformation and destabilization in this controversy? I can’t talk about it too much except that we know Thailand’s Spanish coach well. He is very often in controversy. He has already done so by criticizing the facilities in Uzbekistan and putting the organizers in a delicate situation. I have immense respect for Thailand and for Thai futsal, which did not wait for this coach to perform well. It is a great futsal nation,” declared the French coach into the microphone.

To summarize

As the French futsal team finds itself in the midst of a scandal, the coach has gone on the offensive, targeting his Thai counterpart in particular. Raphaël Reynaud accuses the latter of seeking controversy.
