Futsal. “It’s a lack of respect for the World Cup”, Falcao criticizes in turn

The controversy continues to grow. Defeated by Iran (1-4) on Monday, during the final day of the group stage of the Futsal World Cup, the French team is accused of having let the match slip away in order to offer itself a more open second half of the competition.

The Thai coach, who will therefore face Les Bleus in the round of 16, got carried away on social media, lambasting: “You are a global disgrace”.

A legend of the discipline, who notably won the World Cup twice (2008 and 2012) with Brazil, Falcao also spoke about the performance of the French team.

“We saw a match between two teams, already qualified regardless of the result, but neither of them tried to reach the first placethe futsal star explained in a video. It’s a lack of respect for the World Cup.”

The competition’s all-time top scorer then added: “Players were looking at the clock, wasting time, shooting wide and pretending they had made a mistake.”
