Following a very good start to the season, Paris Saint-Germain wants to look further ahead and this is why the Qatari management is considering extending the contracts of its two strong men, Luis Enrique and Luis Campos.
Five games, five wins, sole leader in L1, and already installed in the first wagon of the new league phase of the Champions League, the club from the French capital is having a rather good start to the 2024-2025 season. If the good results come above all from the players on the pitch, like Barcola or Dembélé, two men also deserve to be in the spotlight: Luis Enrique and Luis Campos. While the first managed to create a real collective, the second brought the players that PSG needed to rebuild a young, talented squad capable of aiming high on all fronts. It is therefore to reward the good work of the Iberian duo that the Parisian leaders are considering extending the contracts of the coach but also of the sports advisor.
The winning duo Luis Enrique – Campos soon to be extended
Having arrived last season, Luis Enrique perfectly replaced Christophe Galtier with a domestic hat-trick and a Champions League final four. Under contract until 2025, the former Barça coach, happy and satisfied with his missions in Paris, would like to continue the adventure at the Parc des Princes. Nasser Al-Khelaifi considers that Luis Enrique is essential in the Parisian club’s project, and it is for this reason that the Spaniard will soon receive a new contract proposal. Information revealed by Fabrizio Romano and confirmed by Le Parisien, which also admits that PSG is looking to extend Campos’ contract. Working in total collaboration with Luis Enrique on the transfer market, the Portuguese should therefore continue to play his role as sports advisor in Paris, where he has a substantial budget to put together a squad that Luis Enrique must then improve with the ultimate goal of winning the Champions League.
