French clubs have had a mixed week in European competitions. French football sees the Netherlands getting closer.
With two successes in six matches this week in the Champions League and Europa League, French clubs have had a somewhat difficult week. As a result, French football is losing points on the UEFA index. If France still ranks 5th, an essential place since it grants 7 qualifying places for Europe, the Netherlands (6th) are getting closer.
If PSG and Monaco respectively won against Manchester City and Aston Villa, Brest, Lille and Nice lost. For its part, Olympique Lyonnais conceded a draw against Fenerbahçe.

France now has 64,950 points and the Netherlands, 61,232. However, the four French clubs involved in the Champions League can claim to qualify for the play-offs, and should still earn points. In the Europa League, this is also the case for Lyon, while OGC Nice, eliminated, concluded an absolutely catastrophic European campaign.
