Born in Ivory Coast, in Yopougon, Ba Loua began his career at ASEC Mimosas, famous for its talent pool. After a spell on loan at Lille where he failed to establish himself except in the reserve team in 2015-2016, he relaunched at Vejle BK in Denmark, before shining in the Czech Republic with the MFK Karviná then to Viktoria Plzeň. His 2020/2021 season with Plzeň was his most successful, with seven goals and seven assists, an output which earned him a record transfer to Lech Poznań for 1.2 million euros, the second biggest transfer in the history of the Polish championship at the time.
