Almost ten years after an unsuccessful stint in Lille, former Ivorian U23 international Adriel Ba Loua could have a second chance in France, near Caen.

Born in Ivory Coast, in Yopougon, Ba Loua began his career at ASEC Mimosas, famous for its talent pool. After a spell on loan at Lille where he failed to establish himself except in the reserve team in 2015-2016, he relaunched at Vejle BK in Denmark, before shining in the Czech Republic with the MFK Karviná then to Viktoria Plzeň. His 2020/2021 season with Plzeň was his most successful, with seven goals and seven assists, an output which earned him a record transfer to Lech Poznań for 1.2 million euros, the second biggest transfer in the history of the Polish championship at the time.
Ligue 2 to bounce back?
However, after several good years, this season contrasts. The left winger is going through a difficult period, with only seven league appearances and no goals scored. A situation which could encourage the Polish club to consider a sale or a loan to revive its player.

Penultimate in Ligue 2 and far from its ambitions, the club now majority owned by Kylian Mbappé intends to move up a gear during this end of the transfer window.
