Not spared from physical problems since the start of the season, Eduardo Camavinga was injured again on Thursday in the Copa del Rey. The Frenchman is expected to be out for around three weeks.

New setback for Eduardo Camavinga. Coming into play in the second half on Thursday during Real's difficult victory against Celta (5-2 after extra time), in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, the 22-year-old Frenchman was injured. He underwent examinations this Friday morning and suffers, according to a press release from his club, from a “muscular injury to the biceps femoris of the left leg”.

Several physical glitches this season

No duration of unavailability has been announced, but it should be at least three weeks according to initial estimates from the Spanish press. He should therefore miss the end of the league phase of the Champions League, with the reception of Salzburg on January 22 and the trip to Guingamp to challenge , on January 29. A hard blow for Madrid, which has not yet secured its place in the top 24.

According to the daily Marca, the former Rennais was injured during extra time, but he wanted to go to the end of the match. He had previously been guilty of a big error which led to Celta's first goal, in the 82nd minute. On a lost ball in front of his area, he allowed the visitors to come back to 2-1. Celta then equalized after the suspense, before collapsing in overtime.
