Coming out frustrated from the match against Paris 13 Atletico, Vincent Hognon hears even more from his team as the VAFC prepares to return to Le Mans, this Tuesday (8:45 p.m.) for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Without wanting to spoil the event, the northern coach intends to take advantage of it to continue to better discover his group.
The match against Le Mans
“I expect to have a better match than what was done. Although for me it shouldn't be difficult. I still want to progress with my team, by seeing other players at work. We're going to tour a little. Keeping the group alive is important. The Cup must serve us. I've been here for two matches, I don't know everyone in the competition yet. So there will be changes. This gives everyone a bit of a chance. »
A secondary French Cup?
“The championship is the most important, obviously. Now I'm happy to have matches every three days to rotate and see everyone. Training does not replace the experience of the match. It's always better to be able to play. Qualification is always the goal. Last year, the club made the semi-finals. Two years ago, I made the quarter-final. These are magical moments, for the club and the players. It's rare in a career to go this far when you're in Ligue 2 or National. You have to take advantage of it. These are good times, great adventures. »
Boutoutaou, ultimate package
“Jean Louchet, Nick Venema and Flamarion are injured. Aymen Boutoutaou has unfortunately been ill since the match. He came this morning (Monday) courageously, but he is really exhausted. His head was spinning. It's not reasonable to take him away. »
