The rumor has been growing for several weeks now, and it has been further confirmed in recent hours. While the quest for an offensive element should fuel the PSG transfer window, if Kolo Muani were to leave, PSG does indeed have a keen interest in Christopher Nkunku, trained at the club and currently at Chelsea until 2029. After a first part of the season where Nkunku proved to be an effective joker, the Blues would not really be inclined to let their player slip away. Chelsea would notably require securing a replacement before considering a transaction.
No concrete offer for Nkunku yet
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, no official approach has yet been made by PSG. However, the Parisian club remains tempted to repatriate Nkunku, sold in 2019 for 19.5 million euros to RB Leipzig, who then sold him to Chelsea for 65 million in 2023. On the other hand, Chelsea does not intend to recruit Randal Kolo Muani, target of clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern or Juventus, to compensate for this departure. We will therefore have to see if the conditions can be met for Nkunku's return to Paris.
