Loaned by LOSC during the summer, Vincent Burlet concluded Lille's successful weekend in the Coupe de France. The Belgian, at Le Mans, qualified for the round of 16 of the competition.
Three of its representatives lost on Friday, at the start of the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France, the National qualified four this Sunday, managing to benefit from a welcome boost. Although the defeat of FC Rouen against Lille (L1) was expected (0-1), the outcome of the matches between US Boulogne and Haguenau (N2, 1-4) and Dijon FCO against Espaly (N3, 1- 1, 4 tab 3) was much less programmed. This bad dynamic was reversed this Sunday: its representatives rose to the next stage. Le Mans FC of Vincent Burlet largely won against Petit Poucet of FC Marmande 47 (R2, 7-0), as did QRM against Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu (N3, 2-0) and penalties for Valenciennes FC in Thionville Lusitanos (N2, 2-2, 5 tab 4) and for FC Sochaux, capable of taking out Clermont (L2, 0-0.5 tab 3).
Logic respected
FC Marmande 47, resident of Regional 2, could have been the Little Thumb of the 16th finals, but Le Mans, in difficulty this season in National, decided otherwise. The visiting club, by scoring on its first opportunity (5′, 1-0) never gave rise to hope in Lot-et-Garonne. The rest was a long, quiet river with six additional goals, the seventh of which came six minutes from time (84th, 7-0).
Loaned by LOSC closer to the Loire, Vincent Burlet (19 years old) fully contributed to this important success by experiencing his third start in all competitions. The Belgian was not decisive, but the victory is definitely there. The smile is there before the end of year celebrations.
Marmande – Le Mans FC: The video summary
A welcome 3/4
The Coupe de France is also going rather well for LOSC loanees. Besides Ichem Ferrah, eliminated by his loan club, the victories followed one another. Ugo Raghouber, a resident of Ligue 2, defeated AJ Auxerre, an opponent of a higher level on paper. Annecy also shone by surpassing the Goal FC of Carmel Mabanza, also a former Lille player (1-2). Trévis Dago therefore also joins the round of 16 of the competition, in the same way as Vincent Burlet, defeated by Marmande with Le Mans FC.
For the next round, Ugo Raghouber's USL Dunkerque will travel to FCSR Haguenau, an opponent playing in National 2. The level of adversity is equal for Trévis Dago's FC Annecy, who will face Stade Briochin. Finally, Le Mans FC will face an opponent of its size with the reception of Valenciennes FC.
