To try to get things back on track, the club's management began prospecting to find a new coach.
And despite observing around ten profiles, that would be good, according to information from La Provence, the profile of Jean-Pierre Papinwho would have quickly gained the upper hand over the others and who would hold the rope to install himself at the head of the Martégale team. The Provençal daily nevertheless adds that, although the OM legend is very close to the Provençal Venice club and the deal has a good chance of succeeding, this movement is not yet completely finalized and that there are still a few details to be resolved.
For several months, the ex-Ballon d'Or has been doing appreciated work at the OM training center where he manages to deploy his experience and knowledge of football. His arrival at Martigues could therefore be a solution for the club to bring stability and a vision for the future to a team in great difficulty.
