Philippe Diallo, outgoing president, was re-elected for the next four years at the head of the French Football Federation. Pierre Samsonoff, behind whom Benjamin André had lined up, was beaten.
It was one of the big news stories in football: the election of the president of the French Football Federation. This, which took place remotely from Tuesday December 10 to Wednesday December 11, delivered its verdict this Saturday. The results, proclaimed during the general assembly of the federal body held in Paris by Alain Bach, president of the Commission for the Control of Electoral Operations (CCOE), were in favor of Philippe Diallo. He obtained 55.34% of the votes, compared to 44.65% for Pierre Samsonoff.
Amateur clubs (33% of the votes), leagues and districts (33%) and professional clubs (33%) therefore chose to entrust a new four-year mandate to Philippe Diallo, successor to Noël Le Graët in January 2023. : “I want to congratulate and salute Pierre Samsonoff and his team for their worthy campaign. I thank my entire team for supporting me in this campaign. I tell them: 'Tomorrow, work awaits us.' With you, I am sure that our project will be carried out in the best conditions”declared the winner before the general assembly of the French Football Federation.
Benjamin André (34 years old), who joined Pierre Samsonoff's list, therefore remains at the dock and will not be part of the Executive Committee of the FFF (2024-2028). The LOSC captain can completely concentrate on his season, having already appeared 22 times (2003 minutes) in all competitions under the Lille flag since August.
