The N3 team had been on field number since 10 a.m. under the leadership of Erwan Lannuzel. 15 players and two goalkeepers (Grimaud and Lecroart) participated in this session. Intensity and games with the ball in rhythm and in opposition. The slider has gone up a notch for several weeks. We note that Famady Diaby is with this group.
The lawn in pain
On the main grounds, gardeners and maintenance staff are examining the lawn carefully, as the natural part is turning yellow. The natural covering of this hybrid lawn suffered from lack of maintenance last season due to budget restrictions. It will be necessary during the one-week break this winter to treat with fertilizer, then, during the off-season, to do “dethatching” to remove the weeds. This takes several weeks of processing and downtime which is why it can only be done next summer.
21 players and 2 goalkeepers for N2, Assogba is back
The Burno Irlès group sees the reinforcement of Seck and Noc for this session. Two players who have been playing with the N3 in recent weeks. The mystery player is still on trial for a third week. We know his first name: Stéphane, as his partners call him.
Bruno Irlès does not change his method, warming up with a ball and oppositions on half and quarter of the field for 1h30. In addition, Youssouf Assogba returned to collective training after more than 8 weeks of absence. The Beninese right-back participated in the entire session, and continued after the others by passing physical tests (see video).
The players repeat their ranges, their passing circuits: exiting the ball and progressing along the sides while passing through the axis. We see few shots on goal and few risks taken from 20 meters. Irlès, placed at the heart of the game, calmly delivers his instructions and intervenes with his players.Come, come“, he says to his midfielders to cheer them up.
For his part, Dado Prso, his assistant, speaks to the players individually if necessary: “ you made a great call to get to a pass… » he said to Noc, very strong during this season, but not precise enough on a cross.
Before returning to the locker room, Andy Carroll and Dado Prso have a long discussion lasting more than 10 minutes. The English striker is very attentive (see the video) to the words of the former international. Finally, Erwann Lannuzel came onto the field to observe the last 30 minutes of this training.
