The federal club control commission notified this Thursday morning of a provisional administrative demotion for Vannes OC.
As reported by Ouest-France, Vannes OC held its general assembly on Wednesday evening with the confirmation of a large deficit. The club indeed has a negative balance of 140,000 euros for the 2023-2024 financial year and it will again be 80,000 euros at the end of the season. The regional daily informs that the federal club control commission has revised its initial decision of November 6.
Vannes OC had had payroll management. But with this new information, the amateur DNCG has this time informed the club of a “temporary administrative demotion of the club”. The cause is the transfer of Georginio Rutter (Brighton & Hove Albion), who passed through the club between 2014 and 2017. The Morbihan club had indicated a debt of 218,000 euros in training compensation but the FFF specified that these were not were only 183,000 euros.

Vannes OC therefore now has negative equity, hence this sanction of administrative demotion as a precautionary measure. “The situation at the club is extremely tense, indicates the DNCG according to Ouest-France. Contributions must imperatively be made for an amount which must make it possible to justify positive equity to start again next season. »
