While theASSE is busy preparing a judicious transfer window to escape the red zone and remain in Ligue 1, the interest of Saint-Etienne recruiters in two players playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) has been revealed.
Mercato: ASSE in search of a right full-back
The ASSE management is currently studying the profiles of players to recruit during the winter transfer window in order to significantly strengthen the team, which is in difficulty this season.
Olivier Dall'Ogliothe Greens coach, wants to strengthen each line: a solid central defender, a versatile midfielder and an attacker capable of making the difference.
The right-back position is a particular priority at AS Saint-Étienne. Since Yvan Maçon's injury, Dennis Appiah is the only starter in this position, but his performances are not always convincing.
ASSE: Mohamed Farsi and Juan Mosquera in Gazidis’ sights?
According to information from ASSE-Foreverthe Saint-Etienne recruitment unit would be interested in two profiles evolving in MLS: Mohamed Farsi (25 years old), Algerian international, and Juan Mosquera (Colombian international). These two right-backs, respectively at Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers, are presented as potential reinforcements for ASSE, in search of defensive stability.
Farsi, under contract until December 2027, is valued at 2 million euros. Mosquera, meanwhile, is valued at €2.5 million and joined MLS in July 2022. Neither have any European experience.
