A “strong” group for Ayyoub Bouaddi’s France Espoirs team (LOSC) at the Euro

The Espoirs team, which included Ayyoub Bouaddi (LOSC) in its ranks in November, will have to face “a tough group” in the eyes of its coach during the Euro organized in Slovakia from June 11 to 28.

The draw for the final phase of Euro Espoirs 2025 took place this Tuesday, December 3 in Bratislava, lifting the veil on the next events of the French team led by Gérald Baticle. The latter finds itself in group C, qualified as a recovery (see below), with Portugal, Poland and Georgia.

Players born after January 1, 2002 are eligible for the competition. This will be held in Slovakia from June 11 to 28, 2025. The Bleuets have not won this title since Eric Cantona's generation in 1988.

Draw: Gérald Baticle's reaction

Gerald Baticlesuccessor to Thierry Henry at the head of the France Espoirs team, commented on the adversity that he will have to encounter: “The draw positions us in group C with the Portugalwho had a superb run (9 wins, 1 loss in qualifying) and has a great generation, as favorite. Then there is the
Poland who took almost the same route as us, finishing in the best second place. There
Georgiafor its part, qualified through the play-offs and a penalty shootout in Croatia. All this makes for a very tough and very interesting group. We still have a gathering in March with two friendly matches and a preparation match in June to arrive in the best conditions for the tournament. The objective is obviously to get out of the groups to reach the knockout phase. It will be exciting”
he concluded in comments relayed by Greg's Team.
