PSG: a huge Parisian flop swings on Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

Recruited in 2016 from Real Madrid, Jesé left PSG at the end of 2020, and has just opened up about the treatment he received in the capital.

It’s a time that seems quite distant. On August 8, 2016, PSG announced the transfer of Jesé from Real Madrid, for 25 million euros. In the end, the striker's story did not go as planned, given that he only played 18 games in the capital (2 goals), which he left at the end of 2020 after several loans ( Las Palmas, Stoke City, Betis Sevilla, Sporting). A few years after his departure, the Spaniard broke his silence and first explained behind the scenes of his coming to , through an interview on Mowlihawk's YouTube channel.

“If I had wanted, I would have stayed in Madrid, but the PSG option appeared. Since I didn't have many minutes, I thought about going to Paris because I was going to play and have minutes. Above all, there was Emery as a coach, he was the one who called me. Madrid did a lot of recruiting and I wanted to go to the Euro (2016) with the national team, because I was about to go to the World Cup in Brazil (in 2014). Del Bosque was going to take me, but I got injured,” he began, before revealing a little more.

“The president didn’t even want to see me in painting”

“Also, they (PSG) improved my contract and paid a lot more. Compared to Madrid, where we were paid every six months, they paid very well. I earned a little less than five million euros gross. At PSG, I started by giving the assist in the first match, but then I was sidelined for two months because of appendicitis and the following winter, I was told that I had to leave. I told Emery that I felt cheated.” This is where the nightmare began for Jesé, who points the finger at Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Parisian president.

“The president didn’t even want to see me in painting. I don't know if he loved my wife more than me. They gave me no explanation. They treated me very badly. There I realized that Madrid is the best in the world in everything. “I felt like I was dealing with a billionaire guy who uses players as if they were badges,” he said. This is said, while Jesé is currently playing in Johor, Malaysia.
