After trying different sports, Thibault turned to a career as an amateur footballer. When making a choice between becoming a professional footballer and a journalist, the qualities tipped the scales to one side. In 2017, PSG broke the bank to recruit Neymar. The capital club then paid €222 million, a record, to acquire the Brazilian, then at FC Barcelona. The latter had therefore committed to Paris, initialing a contract which was full of numerous clauses, some crazier than others. One in particular made Lewis Bryon hallucinate.

All the details had been revealed and one bonus in particular had raised eyebrows. Current player Crystal Palace, Lewis Bryon had been made aware of this clause in the contract of Neymar. This then made him hallucinate as he explained for the podcast Ball Talk : « The craziest clause I've heard is that of Neymar at PSG ».
Paid to applaud the fans
« During an internship, I was with a member of the PSG staff. He told me that Neymar had a clause in his contract according to which every time he went to applaud the supporters after a match, he received a bonus of €200,000 », he continued regarding Neymar.
