With the multiple changes within the management of RC Lens last summer, the new strong men of the club still have to perfect their understanding.
This Friday, RC Lens found its way to success against Stade de Reims, the former club of Will Still (0-2, notes). Thanks to these three points, the RCL is provisionally sixth, a qualifying place for Europe at the end of the season. This victory will undoubtedly serve to appease all these beautiful people, a little frustrated with the latest results (three defeats in four matches before Reims).
A feeling clearly assumed by the Lensois coach at a press conference a few days ago: “There are many and everywhere, in the staff or the group of players”. Such an atmosphere combined with a rather particular situation internally, as pointed out The Voice of the North.
A less aligned direction?
Indeed, with the multiple changes within management in recent months (Diego Lopez appointed sports director, Pierre Dréossi general director and Jean-Louis Leca sports coordinator), the latter would seem less aligned than under Arnaud Pouille, Florent Ghisolfi and Franck Haise.
All in all, a fairly logical situation given the recency of these upheavals, while the club also has to juggle financial problems. But, after the victory in Champagne, we were able to see the frank embrace of Will Still with Lopez, then Leca, which certainly demonstrates that they are all aiming for a common objective, pulling in the same direction.
