“L’Équipe” went to Poiré-sur-Vie (Vendée) to attend the reception of the Girondins de Bordeaux in the championship, a few days ago. A report (to be viewed at the bottom of the page) was published this Friday evening, where we get an inside look at the organization of the meeting, and behind the scenes. As a reminder, FCGB won 0-1 thanks to a goal from Andy Carroll scored in the 3rd minute.
At the end of the match, I coach Poiré, Rabie Zeroualreturned to the attitude of the Bordeaux players during the last ten minutes, who managed their advantage, visibly sometimes saving time.
“No, I didn’t really like the attitude, actually. That's what I was saying, I think that when we are the Girondins de Bordeaux, when we have these players, I think we can show a little more class in the last ten minutes. We didn't play! from the 85th to the 95th, we didn't play… It saved time, like what we can see at the amateur level… Anyway, we are at the amateur level, and that's what we all see on weekends. So in fact, we missed the start, and we missed the end of the match. Beyond that, from the 5th minute to the 85th minute, the content is super interesting. What’s next for us? We play three matches in ten days, and we have players who will work very early the next day. We then enter our championship with Granville, Locminé, Poitiers, Châteaubriant… We need points, and the content is where we have to put it in place to enhance that with points.”
