The PSG can't do it League of champions. Since the start of the regular season, the men of Luis Enrique only won one forceps match against Gérone (1-0), conceded the draw in Parc princes facing the PSV Eindhoven (1-1) and were defeated three times during shocks against Arsenal (0-2), l’Atletico Madrid (1-2) and the Bayern Munich (0-1). “I am satisfied with what I saw”
Despite the new defeat of PSG in League of champions against the Bayern MunichLuis Enrique said he was satisfied and optimistic at a press conference for the future given the performance of his team at theAllianz Arena Tuesday evening.
“The team was trustworthy in Munich, we made things complicated for them. I haven't seen a team that has hampered this team more than us this season. I know we are judged by results but I liked what I saw from my team. (…) I am satisfied with what I saw. I said one thing at the end of the match: all matches give a lot of information. They are not in a bag with holes. All of that matters in the decisions I make.”
“They will be held accountable”
But is it really enough? Luis Enrique recently reiterated that he should not win and that his mission consists of building a team in line with the sporting project set up with the football advisor of the PSG what is Luis Campos. The Spanish coach is contractually linked to Paris Saint–Germain until next June, but has already agreed with its leaders on a contract extension in order to stay for two additional seasons. The Parisian also revealed at the beginning of November that Campos would have an offer for the renewal of its current lease until the end of the season. However, both men will be held accountable in the event of elimination from the regular season of C1 according to Jerome Rothen.
“Al-Khelaïfi trusts two people for the athlete: Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, especially Campos. It is them who must be hit. He renews his confidence in a team that was formed by Luis Campos and Luis Enrique. Afterwards, he's like any business leader, he's a boss who has spent a lot of money. Don't worry that if they finish outside the box in the Champions League, the duo Luis Campos and Luis Enrique, even if they are very happy with what is happening on a daily basis and perhaps they will have been extended by then, well they will be held accountable.”
During the show Rothen ignites broadcast Friday evening on RMC, Emmanuel Petit also mentioned a certain denial on the part of Luis Enrique. The 98 world champion felt that his team at PSG was not progressing or at least no longer. Is he still the right man for the job? Paris Saint–Germain ?
