Promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of the 2022-2023 Ligue 2 season, Le Havre denounced the halving of its L2 rights and had only received 1.5 million euros, compared to up to 33 million for certain elite clubs. The court found Le Havre's debt credible and considered that its recovery was threatened, which led to the precautionary seizure. This decision comes a few days before the distribution of the rest of the CVC funds by the LFP. The League nevertheless has a deadline to contest this measure.
