Unstoppable with Sporting Portugal, Viktor Gyökeres is heading straight for a departure next summer. Paris Saint-Germain obviously has competition on this issue. But the capital club may be freed of a serious obstacle to the signing of the Swedish striker.
Listening to Luis Enrique, the arrival of a center forward is not necessarily a priority. The Paris Saint-Germain coach is content with the solutions at his disposal, having just recovered Gonçalo Ramos after several months of absence. The Portuguese and the alternatives in false number 9 seem to satisfy the Parisian coach, which does not seem to slow down his superiors. Many rumors suggest that sports advisor Luis Campos is seriously considering the signing of a top striker.
A handicap for MU
This is still the trend given by the media TEAM Talk who cites Paris Saint-Germain among the teams most interested in Viktor Gyökeres. The capital club have reportedly intensified talks for the Sporting Portugal striker, described as their top priority. It would rather be an operation that could be carried out next summer since the Swede himself has publicly announced his intention to finish the season with his current team. PSG, whose shortlist would still include the name of Marcus Rashford, although in difficulty with the Red Devils, would therefore be out to battle in the coming months.
We will indeed have to deal with competition from other clubs like Newcastle and Manchester United. The good news for the Parisians is that the Mancunian team, despite the presence of former Sporting coach Ruben Amorim, would leave with a handicap on this file. The English cador would be at odds with the agency which manages the interests of Viktor Gyökeres since the failure of negotiations for FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, also represented by this same group. Tensions that are necessarily embarrassing for a transfer of this magnitude but which could therefore do the business of PSG in this issue where competition will be fierce.
