Marco Verratti, currently under contract with the Qatari club Al-Arabi until June 2024, could leave Qatar as early as the next winter transfer window.
According to MarkInter Milan would be a possible destination for Marco Verratti, the former PSG midfielder. At 32, Verratti has never played in Serie A, despite a career in Italy where he made his debut at Pescara before joining Paris in 2012.
After an 11-year spell at PSG, Verratti was pushed out in September 2023 and signed for Al-Arabi, but his experience in Qatar failed to revive his career at the highest level. For the selection, he has not been called up for more than a year, his last match dating from the Nations League in June 2023.
However, the Italian appears to be returning to better fitness, with a strong start to the season in Qatar, playing eight of ten league games in 2024-25. If his move to Inter Milan materializes, he could finally discover Serie A, although his high salary, estimated at 30 million euros net per year, could complicate such an operation financially.
Verratti's return to Italy would be a great opportunity for Inter Milan to strengthen their midfield, provided they can find a salary agreement with the player.
