On RMC, the former Girondins de striker, now a consultant, Christophe Dugarryspoke about the PSG coach, Luis Enriquewho finds it more and more difficult to understand.

“Okay, the technical level of the players is low. Who chose them? There is this transfer window in 2024, and there is the transfer window in 2023 also where he also pushed to make Neymar, Verratti leave… He explained to us that three months later it was going to be better, than last year too … Every six months he tells us it will be better, and it doesn't improve one iota. All players are validated to be in the system that Luis Enrique wants. So everything is in line. A coach at Saint-Germain has never had so much freedom and money. This is recruitment costing hundreds of millions of euros. He was the one who chose them. He chose these players to put them in his so-called system that he has in his head, and which changes every week… It makes me laugh a lot, because I knew this kind of coach, with Louis Van Gaal. The guy is so convinced that he is a genius, when he writes his notes, that he is convinced that everything he is going to put on the board alone… And in his head, it works! It works very well. Except that when there is no Messi, Neymar, or players who are capable of understanding everything, he is not capable… Or, the players are not capable of understanding what he wants, because he’s too intelligent… Or maybe the players are too stupid, I don’t know.”

He adds.

“There is a downgrading of Paris Saint-Germain. At what point do we identify that the Paris Saint-Germain project is not good?! If the project is to explain that time is needed, it is not a project.”
