US Saint-Malo, the Girondins de Bordeaux's opponent of the day, won last weekend in the Coupe de France, against CO Briochin (2-1). The coach of the latter club, Jérémy Toutainrecognizes the superiority of his opponent, except that he regrets that Saint-Malo was “advantaged” by two arbitration decisions according to him, as he confided in Ouest-France.
“We knew that Saint-Malo was superior and we accepted that without any problem. Despite everything, we had the feeling that in this match, we could compete. Certainly because the leader of N2 was not having a very great day. Everything we put in place worked […] Their two goals scored, that raises questions. I watched the match again on video and, obviously, the first goal came after an excessively generous free kick even if it was superbly taken afterwards. On their 2nd goal, our player Yohann Denès is injured but the referee does not stop the match. Malouin Cissé, in possession of the ball, does not take the ball out either. This was followed by Daury's goal, which Denès was to score. A little lack of fair play all the same. It's true that it's the referee who must decide but at 2 or 3-0, this same player took the ball out. “It’s a shame to lose on such plays. I would have preferred to lose on clear goals.”
