PSG is undoubtedly a very attractive club for football players. Apart from the sports project and the brand new facilities in Poissy at the training center, the city of Paris itself is very sellery at the time of the decision. And Marco Asensio did not hide the fact that it weighed in his thinking.
Marco Asensio had only known Spanish football between 2013 and 2023 Majorcal'Espanyol Barcelona and at Real Madrid. After three Champions Leagues rounded up with the White House, the Spanish attacking midfielder left the club of his heart to take on a new challenge in PSG. In July 2023, Asensio became a player of the Paris Saint–Germain and it turns out that he immediately fell in love with the city and the club.
“It’s a nice, special and new moment”
For the Paris Saint-Germain media, Marco Asensio shared his first steps with Campus PSG who were “pleasant” et “specials” according to the main person concerned. “My first day at PSG, I immediately got to know the employees, discovered the facilities and met my teammates. It's a bit of the whole structure of the club and I really wanted to know everyone, to be able to integrate as quickly as possible and it was really very easy to work with everyone. It's a pleasant, special and new moment. For me too, it’s great.”
“Paris is a spectacular city”
The advantage of PSG who can convince more than one player is Paris. The culturally rich City of Lights has delighted Marco Asensio who spoke about his first impressions of the capital. “ My first visit to Paris was to the city center, the Louvre Museum and visiting the Eiffel Tower. Paris is a spectacular city. It's a very pleasant city, the people welcomed me very well. So I’m delighted to be here in Paris and to live in this city.”
