Announced as a complementary player at the start of the season, Louis Mouton is slowly establishing himself within Olivier Dall'Oglio's group. The midfielder trained at ASSE presented himself at a press conference this Thursday.
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “Holder ? It's only three games. The fight is tough and you have to try to keep your place because there are a lot of people. Now, the coach hasn't let me go. He slapped my fingers a little to make me turn my head more times.
When I had the ball, I did it quite regularly. Without a ball, I was sucked in a lot by the ball. I was not in the right place to maintain the balance of the team. The coach insisted.”
ASSE focuses on technology
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “We now have virtual reality which helps us a lot to work on gathering information. It's pretty good, we have lots of things in place to progress on this point. There is a headset available to players. It was implemented this year. We are in a match and depending on our roles on the pitch, we have balls to play. You have to make the right decisions. You have to know where your teammates are, make the right passes, get the right information. It just calculates how many times you turn your head to look, etc.”
Sheep and competition
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “I think the loan to Pau did me a lot of good. It allowed me to see something else, another environment, a new coach, new expectations. We also played maintenance. I came back with lots of desire. I wanted to show that I too could be at least in the rotation and that I could be counted on. I made a good start to my preparation. Afterwards, I marked time a little. I felt a little worse and then I was worse. Other players have started the season. I wasn't part of it. I made some entries. Sometimes, very good ones. Sometimes averages.
I think it's the match against Lens that changes things a bit. Benji (Bouchouari) and I were also a duo in this match. We're having a good comeback and we're roughing Lens a little in the last 30. While it is still a very solid team. Then, we start in Angers. In the end, we realize that things are going pretty well. We manage to be quite close to each other with Benjamin.
There is still work to do because in the end, three titus, two defeats, one victory. If we can win this weekend, that would be really good. I think there are associations on a field like the full-back with his winger or the two central players which are important. If things work well with Benji, my destiny is somewhat linked to his and vice versa. There is also Pierre (Ekwah), even if he plays a little lower, he is still with us in the middle. We're trying to do our best to keep our place.”
