Between PSG and Marco Asensio, the love story immediately took shape. From the start of his daily life in Paris, initiated in the summer of 2023, the Spanish international was enchanted by Parisian life and his express integration into Paris Saint-Germain. He let loose for the club media on this subject.
After a decade in the elite of Spanish football, Marco Asensio decided to leave his native country in order to embark on his first experience abroad. At the end of his contract Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, the attacking midfielder and left-footed winger crossed the Pyrenees to sign a three-year contract at PSG. The European champion with Real Madrid in 2017, 2018 and 2022 joined Luis Enrique within the Parisian club.
“I discovered the facilities and met my teammates”
And from his first steps in the city of Paris, Marco Asensio acclimatized to the Campus PSG as well as the Parisian environment as revealed in an interview for the media of the Paris Saint–Germain.
“My first day at PSG, I immediately got to know the employees, discovered the facilities and met my teammates. It's a bit of the whole structure of the club and I really wanted to know everyone, to be able to integrate as quickly as possible and it was really very easy to work with everyone. It's a pleasant, special and new moment. For me too, it’s great.”

Apart from the professional part, Marco Asensio was also amazed by the behind the scenes and his new home in the French capital.
“My first visit to Paris was to the city center, the Louvre Museum and visiting the Eiffel Tower. Paris is a spectacular city. It's a very pleasant city, the people welcomed me very well. So I’m delighted to be here in Paris and to live in this city.” A year after his arrival at PSG, Marco Asensio therefore does not seem at all to regret his choice to swap the merengue tunic of the Real Madrid for that of Paris Saint-Germain.
