The 2024 Champions Trophy, between Paris Saint-Germain (2023-2024 French champion and winner of the Coupe de France) and AS Monaco (2nd in Ligue 1), had to be postponed due to administrative concerns while it was scheduled for August 8 in Beijing. It was therefore necessary to find a new date and another location.
So it’s finally set, the Champions Trophy will be played on January 5. PSG and Monaco will finish 2024 in Ligue 1 together (there are the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France on the weekend of the 22nd) and will start 2025 with a trophy to compete for. This for a very different match, of course. And high level, with the current 1st (PSG) facing the 2nd.
Let's hope that it will be a great promotion for French football, even if it means playing so far away.
